In the recent years, ACCC hasdramatically transformed thephilosophical basis of its approachto programs and services itwishes implemented. The Association''svisibility as the national voicefor colleges and instituteshas been enhanced and a consistentgrowth in credibility in governmentand among institutional membershiphas been achieved.

The partnership approach ithas initiated with competinggroups in the national as wellas in the international contexthas given the organization anenvironment of trust where itcan work more effectively forthe colleges. Partnerships withthe AUCC, WUSC, Universalia,and CBIE are just examples ofproductive collaborative effortsto improve the educational imageof Canada in the world marketand to bring a more coherentCanadian educational voice tothe world.

Internationally, ACCC has forgedlinkages with other nationalorganizations involved in technicaland vocational education. Manyrepresentatives from these organizationsattended the last annual conference.As nations now form blocs witheach other to meet the challengesof the world economy, ACCC aimsto develop more experience inthis multinational bidding environmentfor international financialinstitution projects.

The growth of the organizationover the past years and thegrowing credibility it has inthe national and internationalscene, as well as the workingpartnerships it has established,place ACCC in a stable positionto develop a plan of operationwhich will respond to the emergingpriorities and challenges facingthe college/institute systemin today''s rapidly changingenvironment.


NACC is an association of privatecareer training institutionsfrom across Canada and companiesoffering products and servicesto those institutions.
Originally established as anassociation of private businesseducators, it began in Hamilton,Ontario in 1896 as the BusinessEducators Association. It becameincorporated as a non-profitassociation at the federal levelin 1964. In 1991 the name waschanged from the Associationof Canadian Career Collegesto the National Associationof Career Colleges, in keepingwith its role as the national"umbrella" organization.
NACC MEMBERSHIP
There are two categories ofmembership - Active and Associate.
Active Members are private careertraining institutions. AssociateMembers are companies offeringproducts or services to thoseinstitutions.
