  "产品展示策划员"是三年职业培训工作的新名称,从2004年8月1号开始生效,这是为那些对时尚趋势和生活方式具有敏锐嗅觉的年轻人准备的。它取代了使用了20多年的"卖场陈列师"行业,而且引起了本质的飞跃。新的培训标准是在职业培训同盟协会的基础上由管理者和雇员团队修改而来的。
  卖场陈列师的主要任务就是装饰和设计所要展示的区域,而"产品展示策划员"是聚焦在时代市场上,换句话说,就是市场的可视化。后者的工作包括展示区域的设计,事件的组织,促进活动的发展,客户论坛的组织以及其他的针对公众满意度(商品、货物和服务的方式是否最好、最有效等方面)的测试,这是为了增加销售额和强调共同的目标。

为了满足这些新的、长期的专业需求,以下概括出几点培训特点:
● 专业使用图表,规划、影像处理纲要。
● 商业因素包括计划、统计和有效实施可视销售规划。
● 基础商业主题是:为培训者提供建立他们自己事业的必要知识。

  扩充和更新专业范围,同样也能扩展产品展示策划员的活动领域,因此也扩展了潜在的培训公司的范围。以前的卖场陈列师主要负责展示窗口、广告空间和销售区域的设计(以上均为可视化设计),这些在"产品展示策划员"行业中还在使用。

● 交易会和展览会,负责产品会、销售和其他商业活动的创造和设计。
● 工厂,受雇于商业市场,为商业伙伴提供方便有效的产品推荐说明书。

A job for creative people:visual merchandiser
"Visual merchandiser"is the new title of a three-yeartraining occupation, valid from1 August 2004, for creativeyoung people who have a goodfeel for the latest trends andlifestyles. It replaces theoccupation of "Displaydesigner" which has beenin use for over 20 years, andintroduces radical changes incontent as well as in appearance.The new training regulationswere updated by management andemployee groups under the guidanceof the Federal Institute forVocational Training (Bundesinstitutfür Berufsbildung - BIBB).
While the key task of "Displaydesigners" was to decorateand design display areas, thenew qualification profile for"Visual merchandisers"focuses on modern marketingconcepts, in other words: visualmarketing, or "visual merchandising".This includes display area design,the organisation of events,the development of promotionalcampaigns, the organisationof customer forums and otherpublicity measures aimed atpresenting goods, products andservices in the best, most up-to-dateway possible, to promote salesand to underline corporate objectives.
In order to meet these new,extended professional requirements,the updated training specificationshave been expanded to include
§ The professional use of graphics,layout and image processingprograms,
§ Commercial elements coveringthe planning, calculation andsuccess monitoring of visualmerchandising,
§ Basic commercial topics whichprovide the necessary knowledgefor trainees to establish theirown business.
Updating and extending of therange of professional tasksalso entails extending the fieldof activity, and therefore alsothe range of potential trainingcompanies, for visual merchandisers.The "old" displaydesigners were generally responsiblefor the appropriate visual appearanceof display windows, advertisingspaces and sales areas - taskswhich still apply, and whichare also incorporated into thefield of activity of visualmerchandisers. But they alsowork at trade fairs and exhibitions,as well as in industry (manufacturingcompanies) and advertising designand product display companies.
§ At trade fairs and exhibitions,they are responsible for theconcept, creation and designof experience rooms, events,sales activities and other campaigns.
§ In industry, they are employedin commercial marketing, inorder to develop recommendationsfor product marketing whichare made available for use bycommercial partners.
